AUGIE TAKES SINGAPORE




I got the call just before Christmas.
My client needed someone versatile as part of a small crew traveling to Singapore for a corporate meeting. 








This was the first time I had the opportunity to travel business class. 









This was my flight attendant. She called me Mr. Ogborn.


later, I found out there are height, weight, and hair color requirements to be a Singapore Air Flight Attendant.











We left at 9pm. 4 course meals, and all the wine you can drink. 









once I arrived, after a 22 hour flight, I made myself comfortable.











I woke up he first morning at 4am and decided to go look around.









I am always respectful and careful when in a foreign country. 










Especially when the possession of marijuana = DEATH


(it’s also illegal to possess chewing gum, but you only get a ticket)
(not kidding-just google)











So.... This is the artwork found in a country that doesn’t smoke dope?


 










I saw some clients making their way to breakfast... So I quickly blended in 













Now, I just had to make my escape and get to work











Time to work. 
Yep, I traveled to the other side of the world to sit in a room without windows for 12-16 hours and work on computers 











After 4 days in the little room, I then moved into a bigger room w/o windows. 

SHOWTIME~!

 








We had one day off and took a 1 hour ferry ride to Indonesia











I am looking at the South China Sea 











Hmmm, I guess it looks like all the other seas.














Awe Man, I have to go back to Brooklyn and 12” of snow. WTF.












Dear Singapore........ I’ll BE BACK!!


(but I’ll leave my narcotics at home)

























Did I make this trip sound fun and exciting?? 
Well, in full disclosure, this is the view from my hotel window, and this is about all I saw of Singapore. 
But I’m glad I went.
